High-quality, durable electronic ear tag for pigs, cattle, sheep, and goats. RFID electronic identification. Bag of 100 units.

    Properties

    • High-quality, durable electronic ear tag for pigs, cattle, sheep, and goats.
    • With RFID electronic identification, animals can be recognized automatically and information about animals can be collected and recorded automatically.
    • A code is stored in the transponder by which the animal can be identified.
    • The transponder is only activated when the tag reader sends an electromagnetic signal, so the animal will not notice the chip itself. The signal activates the chip and sends the animal's code to the reader with which the animal is identified and the information may or may not be processed automatically.
    • Ear tags can be read with a portable FDX ear tag reader or fixed FDX readers, such as feeding stations.
    • FDX (Full Duplex) Technology
    • Printed and programmed according to ISO 11784 /11785 standard
    • Wear resistant
    • Frequency: 134.2kHz
    • ICAR standard
    • Fraud protection
    • The transponders are ultrasonic welded (not glued), with the antenna fully encapsulated in resin. Due to this, a double prevention is created against the possible effects of humidity.
    • 100 units
    • Plastic bag packaging

    Application

    • Application with ear tag pliers
    • Target species: sows, cows, sheep, goats, deer, and camels
    • The female part (without a pin) should always be inserted through the front of the ear.

    Technical characteristics

    • Material: Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)
    • Not UV resistant
    • Diameter: 24.5mm
    • Height: 16.5mm
    • Yellow color
    • Weight: 3.91 grams
    • Drilling hole closure: closed
    • Programmed within the range 900.248.000.000.000 - 900.248.000.999.999 / 993.221.100.000.000 - 993.221.299.999.999

    Legislation

    • ICAR (code 900126 / 993007)

    Difference between FDX and HDX

    • Most readers can read both FDX and HDX ear tags, but some readers work better (or only work) with one of the two.
    • FDX (Full Duplex): the exchange of information from the ear tag to the reader and from the reader to the ear tag takes place simultaneously. So there is a constant connection with which the information is sent. The disadvantage of this technology is that the signal is relatively weaker and the range is shorter, which means that the reader has to stay closer to the transponder. The advantage is that the technology is much cheaper than HDX.
    • HDX (Half-Duplex): An HDX transponder will only send information to the reader when the reader's electromagnetic field is turned off. The advantage of this technology is that the signal is relatively stronger than with FDX, so the information can be read from a greater distance. The disadvantage is that this technology is more expensive than FDX.
