    What is wolf urine?

It is an organic repellent that chases away wolf preys such as wild boar, foxes, deer, roe deer.

The mechanism is simple: they smell the urine of their predator and get scared because they think that there are wolves in that area.

Does it have a bad smell?

No, it does not have a bad smell, but it must be used outdoors, because if used indoors the smell can be strong.

    How much must I use?

A spoonful of the liquid is effective for 5 m2. It is recommended to spray it to optimise the amount used.

Another option for its use is as follows: introduce the liquid in a small water bottle with holes. In this way we will protect the liquid from the rain and the animals will still smell it.

You can also wet a cloth with the liquid.

How long does the effect last?

In dry climates it is recommended to apply every 4 weeks. If it rains it will lose efficacy, as in the case of any repellent.

It is recommended to apply the same amount after a storm.

Will it chase away my pets?

It should not chase away your pets, but only wild animals that lurk around your farm/field, crops, etc.

    Is it really wolf urine?

Indeed. It contains wolf urine and liquid extracts that are unpleasant for animals preyed by wolves.

Against which animals does it work?

Against all those animals preyed by wolves: deer, roe deer, wild boar, cats, etc.

    Where to apply it?

On the perimeter of the crop that we wish to protect. It is recommended to use it on the perimeter. If it is applied on the farm/field or the crop, the animal will enter them, and therefore it will not be so effective.

There are no wolfs in my region!

The animal instinct does not change that quickly, and wolves lived in all the Iberian Peninsula until a few centuries ago.

    FAQS: Wolf urine

How does wolf urine work as a repellent for wild boars?

Wolf urine works as an odor barrier for wild boars since they associate the detected odor with the presence of the wolf, their natural predator. This association will move the wild boar to other places where they feel safer.

Is it difficult to apply wolf urine to scare away wild boars?

It is an easy to apply product, has no toxicological classification, does not contain dangerous substances, and is suitable for farms, crops, gardens, and forests. Wolf urine is not harmful to domestic animals such as dogs or cats, nor to the environment.

Does wolf urine need prior preparation to be applied?

No. Wolf urine to repel wild boars is already ready to use and does not require prior preparation.

Where should wolf urine be applied to scare away wild boars?

It is recommended to use it around the perimeter of the area that we want to protect and not inside it. It is especially important to place it at the entry points of wild boars, but outside the perimeter limits to be controlled in order to prevent their entry.

Apply in small quantities in areas where wild boar frequently pass through and in a place sheltered from the rain. It is not recommended to apply the product at a single point.

It is not recommended to use it in closed places since its intense smell can be very strong and unpleasant.

How to apply wolf urine as a repellent for wild boars?

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions, using small amounts of the product. Do not dilute.

The liquid repellent can be placed in small water bottles, with holes to facilitate the emission of the odor, hung at a low height since the animals that we intend to scare away are not very tall. In this way the animals will be able to smell the repellent and it is also protected from the rain.

Another way to apply the liquid repellent is to wet a set of rags with the repellent and place them around the perimeter that we want to protect.

How long does wolf urine last as a repellent for wild boars?

As wolf urine is a liquid repellent, it is recommended to apply it every 3 weeks in dry climates.
